I am Ruben Matahelumual, a Spatial Development student specializing in climate adaptation, urban resilience, and sustainable spatial planning.
My work focuses on how cities and landscapes can respond to environmental pressures through nature-based solutions, water-sensitive urban design, and integrated planning approaches. I am particularly interested in connecting research with real-world application in both European and Southeast Asian contexts.
Through international fieldwork, research projects, and volunteer disaster relief, I have developed experience working across different cultural and institutional settings. These experiences have strengthened my interest in resilience as both a technical and social process.
I aim to continue working at the intersection of research, design, and implementation in climate adaptation and spatial development.
